Based on the concept of good old "Japanese" and modern "Western", you can enjoy Akita’s local cuisine using carefully selected seasonal ingredients and local ingredients (Junsai, Gibasa, Iburi-gakko, Sandfish, Kiritanpo, Hinai Jidori, Akita Nishiki Beef, etc.). We offer delicious Japanese food and a fun time in a relaxed atmosphere that is more elegant than an izakaya, but not as uptight as a high-class restaurant. It is conveniently located just a 7-minute walk from Akita Station, so it is very convenient. Our tavern has various private rooms, such as one with sunken-kotatsu and ones with a view of the garden, so we can accept various situation. Our staffs grill the local and seasonal ingredients in charcoal fire, slowly and carefully. We have various local sake and plum wine. This is a tavern where the friendly land lady welcomes you and which serves you homemade dishes which are made of seasonal ingredients from Akita. We have a lot of specialty and various Japanese Sake of Akita .

“Amimoto” was founded in 1953 in Kawabata area and has served Tofu stewed with soy sauce, Giblets stew in curry sauce, Stir-fried Chinese chives as our popular menus. Moreover, we have various local dishes and limited cold Japanese sake.

Wasyokudokoro Maru
We have various alcohol menu which are carefully selected by our chef such as local alcohol from Akita, Shochu and wine. In addition, you can enjoy various dishes made from seasonal, local ingredients, too. In November, mushrooms dishes and Kiritanpo (mashed rice pressed on a cryptomeria skewer and toasted) Pot dish are especially recommended. The interior is based on black and modern.
